Completely non-sequitur, but i just though this was funny….

    Hey NU Crew,
I was planning on sending an audio comment as an mp3 attachment in electronic-mail, but it seems that will get me nothing but ridicule (and you can forget about that fax I was going to send you, Dan). Anyhow, I’ve wanted to call you but I have always been worried that I’ll call and wake you up. Can you let myself and the rest of your listeners know what happens when we dial the “213″ number?
    Yours truly,
    Cougar

    Hey Cougar…

Mitch and I have discussed this now, and we’ve decided that the best thing for everyone is to type out their audio message in trinary (next generation binary) and send it by carrier pigeon. Assuming the little bugger gets up into the jetstream, it should be here in a a jiffy and we’ll put it on the air for you.

    Looking forward to the submissions!

Thanks for the info on where to go.

On the GnR comment you guys made, I have actually listened to a few of the track off the upcoming album. Not bad for a out of date loser (axel). You gotta figure though, 11+ years to work on an album — It should damn well sound like the shit. Ultimately, I think Axel should just think about getting a toll booth job.

    anyway, here is a link:

Give it a listen, I was quite surpised

    Hey Notes,
    Great show. A couple comments:

    1. Mitch- I love last.fm too. And it does in fact have a concert calendar which tailors toward the music that you listen to; it’s one of my favorite features of the site (I think it’s semi-new).

    2. Little Miss Sunshine is a brilliant movie.

    3. Really liked the Clark tune. Nice and mellow.

    4. Always love Harry and the Potters.

    5. Christine is not the only female listener.

    Keep it up,
    Jamie.

    Hey guys.

Sorry if I’m acting all old-fashioned and sticking with the non-audio comments, I guess I’m a bit too shy to try the audio thingy. Or something.

I felt that I just HAD to give you some more tips about nice Swedish music, and perhaps in some musical areas that you don’t visit too often. For some electronic stuff, have you heard (of) The Knife? If you do, maybe your listeners haven’t? Check out there myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/theknife

Too bad you don’t get the intros of the songs on myspace, cuz the beginnings of both “Like a pen” and “Silent shout” are just amazing in my opinion.

And what about some hiphop from the cold North?

This song was sort of a hit during the summer in Sweden… I really like it.

Hey, guess what, me and my girl are going to London in the middle of March. It’s a couple of years since my last visit, so it’s gonna be nice do some shopping and watch some football (have you adopted to the European style of football yet?) and maybe catch a band or two. Can you recommend some sites to go to if you wanna know about gigs and such? I’m in town from the 16th to the 19th of March, let’s hope I’m in luck regarding the shows.

As usual: keep it up, see ya and all that. :)

    Hi Guys,

Whats happening? Just reading Martins comment and the Knife IS a great band, the lead singer Karin Dreijer Andersson sang on Royksopps’ “What else is there?” from The Understanding. a great track in my opinion. Quite a lot like Bjork, whatever that means????

Anyway, still enjoying the show as always. I sure you guys are aware of them but I am really enjoying listening to “The new Pornographers” as well as “Chavez” and “Yo La Tengo” all on Matador (Ole) – the most original Indie label around. Maybe you could play something from them on the show.

I have many favorites from 2006, passion boys, Fink, peachcake music. However I think that my favorite was “Of Montreal”..

A bit boring that the Supersci song is divided into thirty second samples… maybe you could paste them together? Although I guess that might just be a bit, shall we say, illegal. Anyway, I could probably get some other Swedish hiphop for ya if you’re interested. Maybe something IN SWEDISH? :-D

keep up the good work (wow, that’s as original as a yearbook message). anyways, France v. Italy? Totally France. Fat girls from the US like Italy because Italian guys will hit on anything.
dunno if you’ve mentioned any of these before, but check out suburban kids with biblical names, malcolm middleton, the books, and the microsluts.
